This painting represents the hopes & dreams of the Indian People in expressing themselves through music. Music is a gift to Man from the Creator. Drawing strength from the power of the mountain, the design contains what Indian music might look like if it was written, with musical notes beaded and a treble cleff depicted as a snake. A drum, the hearbeat of the Indian People is viewed (far upper right) from the top, drawn so you can fall into it. Upper left is a tribal medicine bag. Above the mountain is fire & power, and bottom right is the Muckleshoot Ampitheater. Along the bottom are symbols of the traditional strength of the Muckleshoot People: King Salmon, Canoe, Fish spear, Arrow and Eagle feathers. We are following in the footsteps of our ancestors to be reborn and grow strong for future generations.
