ARTIST STATEMENT
Herb Cook, born in 1961 is a Coast Salish Native from Musqueam. At UBC's Museum of anthropology, Herb M. Cook worked on an exhibit titled "Written In The Earth" in which he replicated and recreated ancient antler carvings of deer, elk, and moose-horn that were dated 2000, 3000 and 4000 years old. He has also done carvings in yellow and red cedar and has created gold and silver pendants.
