Sxw xwet che li' is the Lummi word
for hummingbird, who is traditionally known as the People's messenger of
optimism.
This print was created as a symbol portraying the "good news"
gifts and support the Northwest Indian College Foundation provides to students
as they realize their educational dreams. The Foundation presented this print
to major donors in recognition of their continued support.
Enjoy this print and remember the hummingbird's message of "Good
News", brought to future generations of Native Americans as they are able
to achieve their dreams.
