ARTIST STATEMENT
I am Lummi and Haida, from my mother's side. My father was Lummi/Nisqually.
I have been a fisherman since I was eight years old. I was basically raised on a boat. Fishing has always been my livelihood but, since its decline, I have been looking for other avenues to express myself.
My designs are a Coast Salish and Haida mixture. They come from inside, from a place that is part of my heritage.
I am now learning to combine my hand-drawn graphics with digital image processing, which is taking me to a more contemporary level. |
